Venice has many famous nicknames- An hour and half south of New Orleans- Venice Louisiana offers the most productive fishery, arguably, on the planet. Marine life starts with the Mississippi River with the bait fish and redfish, speckled trout, and other inshore species picking it off in the fresh and brackish waters at the mouth. As you move further south the bait schools get pushed into the gulf current lines where the pelagics wait to pounce.

The opportunities seem almost endless in this town; from Swordfish, Marlin, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Grouper and snapper to Redfish and speckled trout. The scenery cannot be imitated anywhere else- from the roso canes and the marsh and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the river- to the giant 1000 ft ships and the massive oil rigs- that remind you you are not alone. The opportunity to have a trip of a lifetime is always achievable in this town.
